Ms. Katalin Novák is 40 years old, a mother of three and Hungary’s State Secretary for Family and Youth Affairs. She is coming to Los Angeles to give a talk entitled; “Family, Country, Growth” and the trip is sponsored by the Hungarian Cultural Alliance of Los Angeles and two local Hungarian Scout groups.

Why would a non-profit cultural association sponsor a Hungarian State Secretary? And what do young scouts expect to hear from Ms. Novák? The reason I ask these questions because she is a racist homophobe and proud of it. (Read Eva S. Balogh’s excellent piece by clicking here.)
Novák fears that the country will be taken over by non-White non-Christian non-Hungarians. The government rejects immigration and Novák says that young white Christian Hungarian women’s duty to have more babies to avoid demographic decline. Prime Minister Orbán even talked about a “contract” between woman of childbearing age and the government to ensure the required number of babies. (Women who don’t have children are considered lesser value and one Fidesz politician, Mr. Péter Hoppál, circulated a poster with photos of childless European politicians, among them Angela Merkel, Theresa May and Judith Sargentini.)

Ms. Novák also thinks that gender studies should be replaced with “family studies.” Hungary banned gay marriage and prevents gays from adopting children. Novak praised “well-intentioned” quiet gay people but she has no patience with the “very loud” LGBT groups. She has called it ridiculous that the government has to defend itself on these issues, when it’s clear that Hungarian people are tolerant and everyone can live according to their religious beliefs and sexual orientation. Novák rejected an invitation to Budapest Pride.
In an interview she stressed that Hungarian Christian families can celebrate Christmas in security. She added: “We are not speculators, but a responsible government with stable values and clear goals” referring to Jewish George Soros. The Guardian reported that she was instrumental in inviting to Hungary a US-based anti-LGBT hate group. (Read the Guardian piece about Hungary’s anti-gay drive.)
Don’t misunderstand me, Ms. Novák is entitled to her views and free to voice them in Hungary. Bringing them to California is a different issue. Her anti-gay rhetoric might be labelled as “hate speech” and her crusade among Hungarian Americans could make her a “lobbyist.” According to US law foreign lobbyists must register in the US.
Gay marriage is legal and widely supported in California which has an inclusive society and laws to protect citizens from discrimination by race, religion and sexual orientation.

I hope that the Hungarian Cultural Alliance of Los Angeles and the Scouts are not endorsing the views of this homophobe Hungarian politician. If that is the case, they should make that clear. I personally find Ms. Novák’s efforts to control the child bearing decisions of Hungarian women overreaching, insulting and to be frank… bizarre.

This is the best article you have ever created (in my opinion at least) because it addressed some extremely important issues. I can agree with the vast majority of the statement contained here. Congratulation.
As you should already know I am not infected with the crippling political correctness virus; therefore my views are always logical and pragmatic rather than ideologically motivated (in spite of all labels I have been rewarded with on this site). I am also immune to the snow flake society SJW attitude regardless of the pressure they apply to deform the opinion of the masses. Therefore take my comment at face value rather than a “Fidesznyik” propaganda.
Let me start with the most important one:

It is the idiocy of the voters to elect such people to so important leading positions.

Again from the society point of view families are the pillars that if removed chaos will take over, both socially and financially. Just take the single parent families in your own homeland, the USA. Whilst I get upset reading such statements, I must emphasize that Mr. Soros in NOT JEWISH rather the most famous and perhaps the richest Jew hater in spite of his origin. If the PM of Israel can denounce this international Hill-Billy so can everybody on the Earth without harboring negative feelings against Jews in general.

There are countless childless women (and men) who have done great things for others. Mother Theresa, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, Rosa Parks, etc., etc.
Many are role-models for young women who strive to be successful doctors, lawyers, engineers, authors, thespians, scientists, artists, philantrophists, disaster relief workers, etc., etc.
What of all the childess aunts who help care for the children of their siblings?
Family studies? It has been done for decades within the disciplines of sociology, psychology, social work, medicine, ethology, and anthropology. And if you’d only spent a little time doing some background you would find dozens of University level programs in child studies, family studies, etc. And this is not a binary issue, both gender studies and family studies can be taught. And perhaps it is beyond your ability to imagine, you can teach both in the same course or program.
Could there be anything in this world that Hungarians would not distort and use it as their hate-propaganda, that does not benefit them any way in any thing.
So than just what in this world do they do it for ?

Ms Novák is a prominent representative of the Christian, white supremacist, alt-right government of Viktor Orbán. Her party leader, Orbán, is the self professed hero of the leader of the Ku Klux Klan, of Steven Bannon, and Richard Spencer, the neo-Nazi thug who organized the white-supremacist march in Charlottsville last year.
Hope that some decent American folks, who believe in the equality of the sexes, of races, who consider justice, the rule of law, and sustainable economic development as worthy causes, come out to protest this excursion to the US of a representative of the Hungarian autocracy. The defenders of human and civil rights should not allow Hungarian polluters to spread their waste in America’s backyards, without any repercussions.

His view is that refugees want to go back home. That they miss their homes. This was the case with my Hungarian refugee family. He thinks they should be treated with dignity and respect in their host countries. That they should be provided with education, health care, and other neccessary assistance including adequate food, shelter, and clothing.
He doesn’t do what you and Novák do, which is make bigoted comments about their culture and their desire to destroy European culture. He never mentions a fear of Europe being “taken over by non-White non-Christian non-Hungarians.”. He doesn’t suggest doing what the Hungarian government has done – denied food to refugees.

Point of my comment was to highlight that calling people “racist” for standing up for the right of local distinct ethno-cultural identities to preserve themselves by rejecting settlement of colonists is absurd and idiotic. It is also a hate campaign in fact, because it is directed exclusively against Europeans and their basic collective rights.
As for Hungary mistreating refugees or asylum seekers, it is a false claim to say the least. Hungary has not been receiving refugees on its borders, because there is no conflict on its borders. Those illegal migrants who arrived into Hungary passed through several safe countries along the way, therefore were not fleeing anything, but looking for the good life. Furthermore, my understanding is that they are 100% free to return to Serbia. This lie has been at the root of the entire EU migrant crisis fiasco, and it seems that there are those who want to continue to promote it, with complete disregard for the longer term consequences.
My Hungarian mother seeked asylum for seven years after WWII. During that time she was a refugee and was fed by her host countries. The person’s being denied food are asylum seakers, refugees, whose appeals were being processed by the Hungarian government.
Compassionate people, like the Dalai Lama, would like to see them fed. International Law and Treaties signed by Hungary require it.
Did your mother roam around from country to country, without travel papers or authorization to cross borders, asylum shopping? I know that right after WW2 things were a bit chaotic, so that might have been a possibility, just to join the columns of uprooted moving around, after all, the whole continent was a recent war zone. I know the 1956 generation did not. I don’t think the German authorities would have taken kindly to them simply showing up from Austria, or the French, Dutch or anyone else. They waited in the first safe country and other countries took them because they wanted them.
What next? Will we compare immigration today to Europeans moving to the Americas hundreds of years ago? Yes, they did not need authorization. Different times!
But I do agree with you on one point. In migrant camps, people should be fed. Although they do not have the legal right to be there.

The Hungarian Free Press should investigate the personal identity of commenter Mr. Robert Morrison. His writing style strikes me as Hungarian and his arguments are straight out of Orban’s propaganda book.
I have looked into him. He is, indeed, affiliated with Fidesz, specifically in the world of municipal politics. He has also lived in Canada. I looked into him a while back when he pushed to have an article he wrote published in my Hungarian publication, the Kanadai Magyar Hirlap. I did not allow for it to appear.
In deed, you did not allow an article that was to explain people in details how to use the accented Hungarian letters on a US keyboard. It was a deeply political issue directly connected to Fidesz and Mr. Orbán.

If you search “childless leaders”, you will get dozens of hits to alt. right, far right, euroskeptic, etc. posts that push this latest attempt to “other” leftist, centrist, and center-right leaders and governments. Their movement has reached a rather low crest and the EU is starting to push back. So they need new ways to inspire hatred towards their political rivals.

I am by no means saying that it is all because of “childless leaders”. But one does have to wonder whether they would be more thoughtful about what they are leaving behind their leadership, if they did have children and grandchildren.
The fact that so many people, especially on the liberal-globalist side continue to believe that the good life of the Western World is in any way due to current leadership and culture and trends, leaves me baffled. This is the generation that is destroying the 500 year inheritance. It is a generation that tends to spit on it and vilify it, thus leading to this culture of self-loathing and self-destruction.

Your favorite post-modern autocracy does not recognize equality between the sexes.
