Hungarian President János Áder is scheduled to speak at anti-Trump climate event in California

Six years ago Donald Trump tweeted that “The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.” In another tweet he made his views clear: “In the 1920’s people were worried about global cooling – it never happened. Now it’s global warming. Give me a break!” This US administration does not believe in global warming and last year President Trump decided to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement.

Hungary did not follow. Just the opposite, the country became the leader of the anti-Trump forces in climate change. And this week, thousands of people from across the globe are coming to California, to San Francisco to attend on the Global Climate Action Summit to show unity and to stand up to Trump in the climate fight.

President Áder at the UN climate change conference in 2015 in Paris.

Former Vice President Al Gore, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Secretary John Kerry will be there. Actor Alec Baldwin will speak; he impersonates Trump on the comedy show Saturday Night Live. (See the conference program here.)

Hungary’s president, János Áder is the only head of state attending and speaking at this event! I had to pinch myself, Áder hobnobbing with top liberals with no Trump administration politician present.

I actually welcome Áder’s anti-Trump stand on climate change, but I still think that he should have stayed at home. His fascist sympathies are well-known; Áder has praised convicted WWII criminals like Albert Wass and János Esterházy. (Read here.)

Russian President Putin and Hungary’s President Áder – close ties.

Mr. Áder is also a leading homophobe who signed Hungary’s Constitution making gay marriage illegal. A rare Republican supporter of this climate gathering is former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who will send his greetings via video feed. Schwarzenegger is a staunch supporter of gay rights and fought for the legalization of gay marriage. Same-sex unions are legal in California.

Mr. Áder and his views are not welcome in California. Hungarian Americans should boycott his visit!

  1. The Earth climate has been changing since the beginning and it will be changing as long the Earth have an atmosphere, ocean and the Moon.

The Earth had much higher temperatures and CO2 content as well, even before humans.

The constant increasing of human population, increased industrialization, steady and drastic destruction of nature does reduce humanities’s chances of survival.

But the Paris accord has NOT listed, nor suggested a single item that could reduce those causes !!!

To open a new market trading of “carbon taxes” does NOT even promiss to reduce the risks we face today.

Even IF humanity could reduce all those major factors, no one can possible tell just how many centuries, or even millinias before any harm reduction could be noticed.

The approch lies in advanced technologies, not in reduction of industrial advancements.

Al Gore’s suggestion was hailed, to ‘go to Walmart and purchase am energy saving light balb’.

Has the environment, climate, oceans, nature,
atmosphere improved by that idea ?
Would it ,even in a million years ?

  2. What a photo.
    Two presidents.
None was elected by the voters of their country, only their handpicked political cronies.
The one on the felt, can threaten the world and bomb Syria’s cities, the other can do nothing, so a little talk might make him feel a few feet taller?!

  3. Pierre Divenyi says:

I find it strange that Ader presents himself as the champion of the Paris accord, while Hungary is pursuing an active deforestation of the country. Also, the contaminated soil due to the decade-old spill of aluminum west of Budapest still has not been cleaned up, just to cite the most egregious example of unaddressed cases of pollution. If I were admitted to the event where Ader speaks, I would raise these issues to expose the hypocrisy of the Hungarian government.

    J.Àder’s “fascist sympathies are well-known”
Wrong, it’s not sympathies, he’s always played a prominent part in the orban regime, ie. Àder is one of the high ranking fascists, whatever his personality may be perceived to be.

  5. Robert Morrison says:

    “His fascist sympathies are well-known”
Why did he invite you to the Sandor palace for a coffee or glass of wine?

I know it is hopeless to try to make the left to own the label of fascist but it is a historical fact that fascism is a leftist invention and the first to congratulate to Mussolini was Vladimir Ulyanov (Lenin elvtársad).
So just come to term with this and stop misusing the word.

    • “So just come to term with this and stop misusing the word.” The fascists have a great interest in not misusing the word fascism. Then the Ader is probably a leftist.

  6. Adler can express his views, opinions whatever that may be. The “First Amendment” is in affect even in California, regardless of how strong socialist ideologies may be applied there.

The breaking up of California was struck from the November ballot.

So Mr.Adler free to express his views and opinions in the USA, whatever that may be, what he evidently can not in his homeland. As long as California remains part of the Union. Yes, “free speech” covers everything !!! Even unpopular speech, like fascism and communism, maoism, budism, etc.

Have any doubt? Check out ; Skokie 432 US 43

Yes, the american nazi party had constitutional right to march in uniform, armbands and nazi flags, in a town of 2/3 Jewish and many Holocaust victims lived. No one has the right to deny any right of any one. That is called “freedom” and “democracy”!!!!

I bet you do hate that with all your guts. Don’t you?

    P.S.
But how does homosexuality get into this subject ? You just can get away from that . Hm?!

    • Hungarian Free Press says:

Are you at all bothered by the fact that the President of Hungary is not Mr. Adler, but Mr. Áder, as indicated in the title and multiple times in the article? Learn to read before you write comments.

    • „No one has the right to deny any right of any one.“ Then the Jews were rightly gassed? That is called freedom and democracy? Then Erdoğan is a true democrat. No one has the right to deny any right of any one. Of course you have the right to write Adler and understand nothing. Where is that law?

“But how does homosexuality get into this subject ?”
It is a part of the environment. What is there not to understand?
Like Moricka and the handkerchief. I hope you know this ancient joke!

  8. HUNGARIAN FREE PRESS;

Whatever his name may be, the point of my comment stands for anybody.
That is the point, not who is going to try his luck.

  9. HFP
His name did not matter as long he is a “fascist”.
That is how people are being identified here.
    Nothing else matters anyway .

  10. „Hungarian Americans should boycott his visit!“ or bring along a whistle.

  11. Agree! He should stay away and Kerry (the Adams family) two faced as well. And the other 2 mentioned as well.
    What kills the climate?
Those who can eat a herd of beef (look at the water, carbons) etc etc from slaughterhouses, those who idle in their cars while talking on the phones, the Chinese with their dirty unsanitary factories, the belching of coal and the polluted Eastern European death fields from crematories!!
    Think about that!

    • It seems you’ve had one too many palinkas mate; 66% is pretty potent, probably hazi….

Your post(s) look like they’ve been through google translate a couple of times; what exactly is your point, and what are “Eastern Europran death fields”?

    • Robert Morrison says:

How about those beating the drums about climate change while taking their fat ass to Davos flying private jets (in January 2018 over a thousand private plains landed with those climate gurus in their stomach.
The “do what I say not what I do” promoter hypocrites. 🙁

Don Kichote on September 16, 2018 at 9:25 am

“Then the Ader is probably a leftist.”
Not that one would expect much more from Don Quixote, but just for future reference the proper phrasing would be “President Ader”, “Mr. Ader”, or if you really want to be impolite simply “Ader” but “the Ader” doesn’t withstand scrutiny.

  15. Robert Morrison says:

Don Kichote on September 18, 2018 at 6:03 am

“Ader is a fascist ink pad, thats it and Don Quixote is a Spanish hero that’s not me.”
Do you think there is a chance that you will ever understand the meaning of the buzz word that you and your group keeps misuse?

I understand that you are not a hero of any kind.

    • Do you think there is a chance that you will ever understand the meaning of the buzz word that you and your group keeps misuse? muhhh

Fascism is a term for a special oppression, narcissism is the psychological explanation for it. This was born with the Hominidae. Thanks to Duce, we have a word for it today, do you understand the meaning … obviously not.

  16. I’m happy to note that Áder’s trolls are up to their usual practices, posting cut-outs here from their favorite book – Politics for Dummies.

Morrison portrayal of Fascism as a Bolshevik drag, is a bit hard to swallow though, given Russia’s and Italy’s opposing stance during WWII. Any minute, the tennis player will send us a post that Communism and Democracy are the same because Stalin and Roosevelt sat at the same table at Yalta, and Russia fought on the side of the Americans.

Morrison, why don’t you suck a lemon for a change instead of sucking up to the conductor of that Hungarian mini-train in Felcsút ? How many times must you be taken for a ride, bird-brain ? Why don’t you take my course here at Concordia U so I can give you that flying F you are craving for ?

    • Robert Morrison says:

      Dear András,

It would be my pleasure to attend your course but to the best of my knowledge you do not share the podium with outsiders and the only way I could participate if I was to lecture your students and of course you about the essence of political correctness.

The rest of your comment is way below the level that I would address as it is also way below my expectation from an academic like you, thus the F is yours. As I previously offered into you attention I cannot be bothered with insults and labels, so just spare yourself the frustration of not being taken seriously. But I still love you. 🙂 🙂 🙂
